This is a milestone moment for our community.
Today, the FDA approved Orzeyful (oveporexton) — the first medication approved to treat the full range of Narcolepsy Type 1 symptoms. Not just excessive daytime sleepiness. Not just cataplexy.
All of it including sleep paralysis, hallucinations, and disrupted nighttime sleep.
What makes this different is how it works. Rather than masking symptoms, Orzeyful directly targets the loss of orexin signaling that causes NT1 in the first place. It's the first drug to address the underlying biology of the disease.
This doesn't mean it's right for everyone, and we always encourage you to speak with your doctor about what's best for your care. But for a community that has spent years navigating a condition with limited treatment options, this is worth acknowledging.
We see you. We've always seen you.
